Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA), 44-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Rappahannock upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Raiders host Essex (Tappahannock, VA) to play the Trojans in a Northern Neck bout on Monday, January 22. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Essex won 49-8 in their recent league bout against Lancaster (Lancaster, VA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA) in a Northern Neck bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Westmoreland will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 55-33 league win over Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA).
