Illinois High School Basketball - DeKalb tipped by Metea Valley

The Metea Valley Mustangs basketball team scored 65 points and held the host DeKalb Barbs to 60 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aurora East for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Metea Valley will meet a Tomcats team coming off a 67-39 league win over Elgin (Elgin, IL). The Tomcats record now stands at 6-13.

The Barbs (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Rockford Auburn was nudged by Freeport (Freeport, IL), 54-42, in a league contest.
