Pennsylvania High School Basketball - North East overwhelmed by Mercyhurst Prep

The North East Grape Pickers basketball team (North East, PA), was overwhelmed 44-19 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA)

The Lakers now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairview for a District 10 Region 5 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Mercyhurst Prep will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-47 non-league win over Erie First Christian Academy (Erie, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-6.

The Grape Pickers (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Seneca (Erie, PA). The Bobcats come into the District 10 Region 3 battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Seneca was overwhelmed by Girard (Girard, PA), 62-47, in a league battle.
