The Northeast Raiders basketball team (Macon, GA), was overwhelmed 61-38 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA)

The Greyhounds now possess a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eagle's Landing for a AAAAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Jones County will confront a Eagles team coming off a 60-45 league loss to Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-10.

The Raiders (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA). The Gryphons come into the AA Region 2 battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Academy for Classical Education was overwhelmed by Spencer (Columbus, GA), 46-43, in a league battle.
