Georgia High School Basketball - Northeast can't hold off Jones County

December 10, 2022: Gray, GA 31032

The Jones County Greyhounds basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Northeast Raiders to 42 in the Greyhounds non-league victory on Saturday.

The Greyhounds now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eagle's Landing for a AAAAA Region 2 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Jones County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 63-44 league loss to Warner Robins (Warner Robins, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.

The Raiders (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Academy for Classical Education (Macon, GA). The Gryphons come into the AA Region 2 contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Academy for Classical Education edged Covenant Academy (Macon, GA), 37-27, in a non-league contest.
