Texas High School Basketball - Montwood can't hold off Eastlake

The Eastlake Falcons basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Montwood Rams to 48 in the Falcons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 17-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Friday, January 26. Eastlake will battle a Cougars team coming off a 57-40 league win over Montwood (El Paso, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 18-6.

The Rams (16-11) will now prepare for their contest against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX). The Spartans enter the 6A Region I District 1 contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, Pebble Hills nudged Socorro (El Paso, TX), 53-45, in a league contest.
