Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Eastlake Falcons (El Paso, TX), 55-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Montwood upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Rams travel to Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX) to play the Spartans in a 6A Region I District 1 bout on Wednesday, December 13. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Pebble Hills won 68-42 in their recent league bout against Socorro (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) in a 6A Region I District 1 bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Eastlake will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 9-4 record after their 56-35 league win over Montwood (El Paso, TX).
