The Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) basketball toppled the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), 77-60 in Thursday's league bout.
The Falcons now possess a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Saint John Paul the Great Catholic for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. Our Lady of Good Counsel will play a Wolves team coming off a 67-35 non-league win over Chantilly (Chantilly, VA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-8.
With the loss, Bishop Ireton falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Paul VI (Chantilly, VA) to play the Panthers in a VISAA Division I bout on Sunday, January 26. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Paul VI won 61-48 in their recent league bout against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD)
