The Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) basketball were winner over the visiting Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), 58-49 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 15-12 record. They play next when they travel to Paul VI for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 22. Bishop Ireton will play a Panthers team coming off a 72-61 league win over Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 23-5.
With the loss, Our Lady of Good Counsel falls to 10-17 on the campaign.
