In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Montevallo Bulldogs basketball team scored a tight 48-46 triumph over the Shelby County Wildcats.

In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Holt Ironmen (Holt, AL) in a 4A Area 6 match, on Thursday, January 26. Montevallo will attempt to move on its 16-6 season record. The Ironmen enter the match with a 8-5 record after their 63-62 league loss to West Blocton (West Blocton, AL).
