Alabama High School Basketball - Shelby County can't hold off Montevallo

The Montevallo Bulldogs basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Shelby County Wildcats to 41 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calera for a non-league contest on Monday, December 5. Montevallo will battle a Eagles team coming off a 72-48 non-league loss to Pelham (Pelham, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.

The Wildcats (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL). The Aggies enter the 5A Area 8 bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Sylacauga was edged by Talladega (Talladega, AL), 56-47, in a non-league bout.
