In Tuesday's league outing, the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) basketball squad beat the host Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL), by a margin of 65-56.
The Hawks (19-2) will now prepare for their outing against Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Rockets go into the Illini Prairie outing with a 13-9 record. In their last outing, Tolono Unity was topped by Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL), 63-49, in a league outing.
The Sages now own a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph-Ogden for a Illini Prairie outing on Friday, January 27. Monticello will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 59-28 league win over St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 17-4.
