The Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls basketball squad scored 45 points and restricted the host Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers to 41 in the Cowboys/Cowgirls league victory on Thursday.

With the victory, Cliff upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys/Cowgirls host Magdalena (Magdalena, NM) to play the Steers in a A District 2 challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Steers come into the challenge with a record of 19-0. Magdalena won 64-2 in their recent league challenge against Animas (Animas, NM)

Next up, the SonBlazers play the Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM) in a A District 2 challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Mesilla Valley Christian School will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 40-23 league loss to Quemado (Quemado, NM).
