In Thursday's non-league match, the host Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls basketball team scored a good 46-33 triumph over the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers.
In their next game, the Cowboys/Cowgirls meet the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) in a A District 2 match, on Friday, February 24. Cliff will attempt to move on its 20-5 season record. The Steers enter the match with a 27-0 record after their 64-31 non-league win over Quemado (Quemado, NM).
With the defeat, Mesilla Valley Christian School moves to 14-10 on the year.
