Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC), 66-53 in a league bout.
With the win, Seventy-First upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Falcons host Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to clash with the Bears in a 3A/4A United 8 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Gray's Creek lost 61-54 in their recent league bout against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) in a 3A/4A United 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. South View will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-17 record after their 57-36 league loss to Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC).
