North Carolina High School Basketball - West Wilkes ripped by Surry Central

The Surry Central Golden Eagles basketball team scored 83 points and held the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks to 50 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilkes Central for a 2A Foothills contest on Tuesday, January 30. Surry Central will battle a Eagles team coming off a 38-29 league loss to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 12-7.

The Blackhawks (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons enter the 2A Foothills contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Forbush was routed by Starmount (Boonville, NC), 67-34, in a non-league contest.
