Georgia High School Basketball - New Hampstead knocked off by Wayne County

The Wayne County Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 37 points and held the host New Hampstead Phoenix to 22 in the Yellow Jackets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Appling County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Wayne County will meet a Pirates team coming off a 61-47 league win over Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 7-12.
Next up, the Phoenix play the Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA) in a AAAA Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. New Hampstead will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 48-39 league loss to Wayne County (Jesup, GA).
