New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC), 39-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Bern upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Bears travel to J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC) to play the Rampants in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Rampants go into the bout with a record of 10-2.

Next up, the Rams play the South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) in a bout, on Monday, January 29. Havelock will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 66-52 league win over Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC).
