    • Arizona High School Basketball - Gilbert can't hold off Desert Ridge

    The Desert Ridge Jaguars basketball team scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Gilbert Tigers to 33 in the Jaguars league victory on Friday.

    The Jaguars now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Desert Vista for a 6A Central contest on Tuesday, January 31. Desert Ridge will battle a Thunder team coming off a 77-43 league win over Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ). The Thunder record now stands at 20-3.

    The Tigers (12-10) will now prepare for their contest against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Bulldogs come into the 6A Central contest with a 7-16 record. In their last contest, Queen Creek was nudged by Highland (Gilbert, AZ), 34-29, in a league contest.
