Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Westwood Patriots (Ishpeming, MI), 49-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Ishpeming upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Hematites host Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI) to play the Mountaineers in a Mid-Peninsula bout on Monday, January 30. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 0-11. Iron Mountain lost 54-38 in their recent league bout against Negaunee (Negaunee, MI)

Next up, the Patriots play the Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) in a Western Peninsula bout, on Monday, January 30. Westwood will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
