The Central Lions (Carrollton, GA) basketball crushed the host Temple Tigers (Temple, GA), 62-37 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions (19-3) will now prepare for their test against Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA). The Raiders go into the AAAA Region 7 test with a 10-10 record. In their last test, Southeast Whitfield County was trounced by Gilmer (Ellijay, GA), 66-63, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 17-5 record. They play next when they host Heard County for a A D1 Region 4 test on Tuesday, January 31. Temple will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 63-20 non-league loss to East Paulding (Dallas, GA). The Braves record now stands at 6-13.
