Georgia High School Basketball - Temple can't hold off Central

The Central Lions basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Temple Tigers to 51 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Villa Rica for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 20. Central will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 64-53 non-league loss to Temple (Temple, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-4.

The Tigers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rockmart (Rockmart, GA). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Rockmart nudged Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA), 73-71, in a league contest.
