Georgia High School Basketball - Jenkins County bested by Savannah

Savannah Bluejackets (Savannah, GA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA), 63-46 in a league match.

With the victory, Savannah advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Bluejackets host Claxton (Claxton, GA) to meet the Tigers in a A D2 Region 3 match on Saturday, January 4. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 3-5. Claxton lost 75-65 in their recent non-league match against Appling County (Baxley, GA)

The War Eagles now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Screven County for a A D2 Region 3 match on Saturday, January 4. Jenkins County will meet a Gamecocks squad coming off a 48-45 league win over Bryan County (Pembroke, GA). The Gamecocks record now stands at 4-5.
