Virginia High School Basketball - Culpeper County edges James Monroe

January 30, 2024: Culpeper, VA 22701

The Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA) basketball nipped the visiting James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA), 68-65 in Tuesday's league test.

The Blue Devils (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Eastern View (Culpeper, VA). The Cyclones go into the Battlefield test with a 3-15 record. In their last test, Eastern View was tipped by Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA), 62-55, in a league test.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host King George for a Battlefield test on Thursday, February 1. James Monroe will encounter a Foxes squad coming off a 45-38 league win over Caroline (Milford, VA). The Foxes record now stands at 13-2.
