The Mineral County Serpents basketball team (Hawthorne, NV), was overwhelmed 35-10 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV)
The Bulldogs now possess a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sage Ridge for a 1A West battle on Friday, February 2. Smith Valley will battle a Scorpions team coming off a 33-28 league win over Virginia City (Virginia City, NV). The Scorpions record now stands at 6-4.
The Serpents (3-13) will now prepare for their battle against Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV). The Lakers come into the 1A West battle with a 17-4 record. In their last battle, Pyramid Lake trounced Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage (Yerington, NV), 67-26, in a league battle.
