The Scorpions (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Eau Gallie (Melbourne, FL). The Commodores come into the 4A District 8 challenge with a 5-18 record. In their last challenge, Eau Gallie was knocked off by Gateway (Kissimmee, FL), 56-36, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Palm Bay Pirates (Melbourne, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Merritt Island will attempt to move on its 9-13 season record. The Pirates go into the game with a 9-13 record after their 65-54 non-league loss to Hagerty (Oviedo, FL).
