The Eastside Spartans basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host J.I. Burton Black Raiders to 47 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Castlewood for a Cumberland contest on Friday, February 3. Eastside will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 60-34 league loss to Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-11.

The Black Raiders (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA). The Titans come into the Cumberland contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Twin Springs prevailed over Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA), 57-41, in a league contest.
