The J.I. Burton Black Raiders basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Eastside Spartans to 41 in the Black Raiders non-league victory on Saturday.
The Black Raiders now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastern Montgomery for a non-league contest on Friday, March 3. J.I. Burton will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 52-50 non-league loss to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 22-6.
The Spartans (22-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers come into the non-league contest with a 20-8 record. In their last contest, Fort Chiswell prevailed over Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA), 52-50, in a non-league contest.
