The De Anza Dons (El Sobrante, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Vallejo Redhawks (Vallejo, CA), 65-64 in Thursday's league test.

The Dons (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Dons go into the non-league test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Arroyo was tipped by Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA), 57-43, in a league test.

The Redhawks now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pinole Valley for a Tri-County - Rock test on Tuesday, January 9. Vallejo will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 76-29 league loss to Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-10.
