The Lourdes Eagles (Rochester, MN) basketball crushed the visiting Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN), 65-31 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN). The Bulldogs go into the AA Section 1 test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Plainview-Elgin-Millville walloped Rushford-Peterson (Rushford, MN), 51-46, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lake City for a AA Section 1 test on Tuesday, January 9. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 53-35 league win over Pine Island (Pine Island, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 8-6.
