The Lions (18-7) will now prepare for their outing against Avery (Avery, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Region III District 24 outing with a 3-12 record. In their last outing, Avery was crushed by Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX), 41-29, in a league outing.

The Owls now hold a 0-13 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomburg for a 1A Region III District 24 outing on Tuesday, January 9. Yantis will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 46-16 non-league win over Marshall Christian Academy (Marshall, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-7.
