Texas High School Basketball - Athens can't hold off Brownsboro

The Brownsboro Bears basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Athens Hornets to 51 in the Bears league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canton for a 4A Region II District 16 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Brownsboro will battle a Eagles team coming off a 51-32 league win over Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 21-5.
The Hornets (14-8) will now prepare for their contest against Van (Van, TX). The Vandals enter the 4A Region II District 16 contest with a 5-9 record.
