The DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) basketball felled the visiting Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL), 54-46 in Friday's league test.
The Barbs (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Champaign Central (Champaign, IL). The Maroons go into the non-league test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Champaign Central went down by Normal Community (Normal, IL), 59-41, in a league test.
The Redhawks now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lockport for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Naperville Central will encounter a Porters squad coming off a 43-31 non-league win over Stagg (Palos Hills, IL). The Porters record now stands at 11-5.
