The Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Logan Longhorns (Logan, NM), 69-36 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Buffaloes (12-1) will now prepare for their test against Hagerman (Hagerman, NM). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Hagerman was trounced by Dexter (Dexter, NM), 39-34, in a non-league test.
The Longhorns now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Quemado for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. Logan will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 55-32 non-league win over Mountainair (Mountainair, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 9-3.
