The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Clairton Bears (Clairton, PA) and the visiting Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA), observed Clairton's basketball team knock off Bentworth by a score of 64-52.

The Bears (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Carrick (Pittsburgh, PA). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Carrick dropped by Obama Academy of International Studies (Pittsburgh, PA), 54-49, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats battle the California Trojans (Coal Center, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 1 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Bentworth will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 67-43 league loss to Frazier (Perryopolis, PA).
