Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Christian thwarts Tombstone

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Desert Christian Eagles (Tucson, AZ) and the host Tombstone Yellow Jackets (Tombstone, AZ), observed Desert Christian's basketball team knock off Tombstone by a score of 70-50.

The Eagles (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Empire (Tucson, AZ). The Ravens come into the non-league challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Empire dropped by Cholla (Tucson, AZ), 66-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets encounter the Bisbee Pumas (Bisbee, AZ) in a 2A South challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Tombstone will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Pumas come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 57-48 non-league loss to Leading Edge Academy - GEC (Gilbert, AZ).
