Nebraska High School Volleyball - Grand Island can't hold off Columbus

October 1, 2022: Columbus, NE 68601

In Saturday's league battle, the host Columbus Discoverers volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Grand Island Islanders.

The Discoverers (15-8) will now prepare for their battle against Burke (Omaha, NE). The Bulldogs come into the A District battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Burke nudged Bryan (Omaha, NE), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Islanders clash with the Bellevue East Chieftains (Bellevue, NE) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 1. Grand Island will attempt to advance on its 15-10 season record. The Chieftains come into the battle with a 12-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Elkhorn (Elkhorn, NE).
