In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Grand Island Islanders volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Columbus Discoverers.

The Islanders (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hastings (Hastings, NE). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Hastings lost by St. Paul (St. Paul, NE), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
