The Thoreau Hawks prevailed the visiting Zuni Thunderbirds volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Monday's league test.
The Hawks now have a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wingate for a 3A District 1 test on Tuesday, October 11. Thoreau will confront a Bears team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM). The Bears record now stands at 1-12.
The Thunderbirds (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Newcomb (Newcomb, NM). The Skyhawks enter the 3A District 1 test with a 0-10 record. In their last test, Newcomb dropped by Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM), 3-0, in a league test.
