The Thoreau Hawks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Zuni Thunderbirds to 1 in the Hawks non-league victory on Saturday.

The Hawks now have a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newcomb for a 3A District 1 game on Tuesday, September 27. Thoreau will meet a Skyhawks team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Chesterton Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 0-7.

The Thunderbirds (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM). The Lynx enter the non-league game with a 5-9 record. In their last game, Rehoboth Christian dropped by Ramah (Ramah, NM), 3-1, in a non-league game.
