Texas High School Volleyball - Gilmer over Henderson

Fans at Friday's league contest between the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) and the visiting Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX), observed Gilmer's volleyball team top Henderson by a count of 3-0.

The Buckeyes (18-14) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX). The Knights enter the 4A Region II District 16 contest with a 12-15 record. In their last contest, Cumberland Academy was knocked off by Kilgore (Kilgore, TX), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Lions battle the Chapel Hill Bulldogs (Tyler, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 contest, on Tuesday, October 15. Henderson will attempt to move on its 21-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 7-24 record after their 3-2 league loss to Pine Tree (Longview, TX).
