The Grand Island Islanders prevailed the host Lincoln High Links volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Islanders confront the Lincoln Northeast Rockets (Lincoln, NE) in a A District game, on Tuesday, October 14. Grand Island will attempt to advance on its 8-19 season record. The Rockets enter the game with a 10-18 record after their 3-1 league win over Bellevue East (Bellevue, NE).

With the loss, Lincoln High drops to 3-24 on the campaign. The Links host Burke (Omaha, NE) to clash with the Bulldogs in a A District bout on Tuesday, October 14. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 8-18. Burke won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Benson (Omaha, NE)
