North Carolina High School Volleyball - Alexander Central over Watauga

The Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) volleyball knocked off the host Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), 3-1 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Freedom for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Thursday, October 17. Alexander Central will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Watauga drops to 8-8 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to clash with the Huskies in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Thursday, October 17. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 17-1. Ashe County won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)
