North Carolina High School Volleyball - Watauga over Alexander Central

September 16, 2024: Taylorsville, NC 28681

Fans at Monday's league contest between the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) and the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), observed Watauga's volleyball team top Alexander Central by a count of 3-0.

The Pioneers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers enter the Northwestern 3A/4A contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Hibriten was knocked off by Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cougars battle the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest, on Wednesday, September 18. Alexander Central will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 8-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
