The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) and the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), saw Thoreau's volleyball squad beat Newcomb by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Thoreau upgrades its record to 14-4 on the year. The Hawks host Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to play the Eagles in a 3A District 1 bout on Thursday, October 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-8. Navajo Prep won 3-1 in their recent league bout against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM)

The Skyhawks now own a 0-14 record. They play next when they host Wingate for a 3A District 1 bout on Saturday, October 22. Newcomb will play a Bears squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Bears record now stands at 3-15.
