Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Hawks battle the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) in a 3A District 1 match, on Thursday, September 29. Thoreau will attempt to advance on its 9-3 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 6-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM).

With the loss, Newcomb drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Skyhawks travel to Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM) to battle the Bears in a 3A District 1 match on Tuesday, October 4. The Bears come into the match with a record of 1-8.
