Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs (20-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Gilmer (Gilmer, TX). The Buckeyes come into the 4A Region II District 16 challenge with a 19-16 record. In their last challenge, Gilmer beat Kilgore (Kilgore, TX), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Cumberland Academy Knights (Tyler, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 challenge, on Friday, October 24. Henderson will attempt to upgrade on its 18-20 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 11-16 record after their 3-0 league loss to Pine Tree (Longview, TX).
