With the win, Carthage improves its record to 15-16 on the season. The Bulldogs host Gilmer (Gilmer, TX) to encounter the Buckeyes in a 4A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, September 30. The Buckeyes go into the battle with a record of 14-13. Gilmer won 3-0 in their recent league battle against Kilgore (Kilgore, TX)

The Lions now own a 15-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cumberland Academy for a 4A Region II District 16 contest on Tuesday, September 30. Henderson will meet a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Knights record now stands at 11-10.
