New Mexico High School Volleyball - Zuni can't hold off Crownpoint

In Thursday's league bout, the Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM) volleyball team held off the visiting Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM), by a margin of 3-2.
The Eagles now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Newcomb for a 3A District 1 bout on Saturday, October 11. Crownpoint will clash with a Skyhawks team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 2-12.
With the loss, Zuni falls to 6-8 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM) to battle the Hawks in a 3A District 1 match on Saturday, October 11. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 4-9. Thoreau lost 3-1 in their recent league match against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM)
