Illinois High School Basketball - Lexington nips Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) and the host Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL), observed Lexington's basketball team edge Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley by a score of 71-67.

The Minutemen (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Vikings come into the Heart of Illinois challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Tri-Valley edged Heyworth (Heyworth, IL), 40-28, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Fisher Bunnies (Fisher, IL) in a Heart of Illinois challenge, on Friday, December 6. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record.
